Auto Glance offers an easy, intuitive way to search for used car deals. Users can filter searches through a number of criteria, including make, model, transmission, year, body style, or color. Auto Glance sources the used car deals from all over the internet, saving the user from having to make multiple internet searches. Users can also search up to 200 miles away from their zip code, widening their pool of options if they are willing to travel a bit farther for a great deal. Auto Glance also rates each deal. There is a red number to the left hand side of each deal. That number tells the user how many deals are “worse” than that deal. A “1” means the user is looking at a very good deal indeed, since there is only one deal that’s better. A “50” might mean the user had best keep looking.
Auto Glance was founded in 2012 by Keith Pagello and Khine Lin. The site seems to be gaining popularity, though it hasn’t generated a lot of buzz yet.
There are, of course, many other used car search sites out there, but Auto Glance does used car search in a particularly fresh, interesting way. There are graphic representations of mileage, color, and price, all on a single page, which saves the user lots of time. Users get very fast information by clicking on each icon. A user never has to leave the page unless he’s found the right car. The big graphic representation lets users compare cars at a glance, too
The app is great for the visually oriented, who will love the big, bold icons and charts. The app runs quickly, allowing for a smooth execution. Hovering a mouse over each car will show a photograph of the car. Users can then click on the car to get a pop up window with a little bit more information. The app has apparently gathered info from every other used car site on the web, which will save the user hours and hours of work. Users who want to do multiple search types will enjoy the tab feature, which allows users to keep all of their searches active and available until they’ve completed the process. The app is almost a browser within a browser, one which is built for a specific purpose.
There is no registration process. Users can just jump right in and start searching for used cars which meet their criteria.
The application is 100% free to use. There are no additional ads on the site other than the cars themselves. This makes for a nice, clean, private experience, and keeps the user from having to create yet another user name and password out of the hundreds he or she probably already has.
This app is great for anyone who is shopping for a used car. It would also be a nice app for anyone who wishes to sell a car, since the user can make some quick comparisons about how similar cars are selling.
